The COVID-19 pandemic has hit people hard.

And not just those from disadvantaged households.

Some of those impacted the most are:

  • At-risk young people
  • People seeking asylum and international students who can’t access JobKeeper or JobSeeker payments
  • Individuals and families who are Indigenous
  • Single parents
  • Homeless people
  • Boarding house residents
  • The elderly or chronically ill
  • Students
  • Sex workers
  • Casual workers who are now struggling to pay the rent and buy groceries.

Every Wednesday, our community care team heads into the community with fresh and non-perishable food for those doing it tough. We also supply them with essential items donated from the local community.

Can you help? Here are three ways you can get involved.

  1. Give $10 towards a food hamper here.
  2. Donate groceries or essential items such as toilet paper and paper towels at The SECC Community Hub in Mascot.
  3. Join our volunteer network by applying here.

With your support we can continue to feed the most vulnerable people in the community.
