Iris Knight is a much-loved member of the SECC family.

She was awarded the Maisie Foster Volunteer Award in 2018 for her varied volunteering roles, including shopping assistant, “grandparent” support at the intergenerational playgroup, and her dedicated service baking cakes for the Beaconsfield lunch group.

This year, she wasn’t able to bake cakes for the group due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Some of the items Iris has been knitting for SECC clients.

Instead, Iris put her skills to good use knitting jumpers and hats for newborn babies of clients in our area who are having a hard time.

We are so thankful that Iris keeps giving to our community during a challenging year.
