SECC is calling all locals to discover their creative side and share their art for display at our mid-year Creative Showcase 2023.
You’re invited to share your art under the theme of Stories of Place before 10th July, 2023.
If approved, your work will be displayed at the Creative Showcase at the SECC Hub (1007 Botany Rd, Mascot) on Thursday 20th July from 5-7pm.
Questions for reflection
- What does ‘place’ mean to you?
- What do you feel in connection to your place?
- What stories can you share from inhabiting this place?
Submit your poem, painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, video, audio recording or performance for sharing at our 2023 Creative Showcase.
Note: Your art piece must reflect the theme: Stories of Place.
We welcome submissions from all people, of all ages, living, working or studying in the LGAs of Bayside, City of Sydney, Randwick, Woollahra or Waverley.

Physical Drop Off: 17th-18th July, 9:30am to 4pm at The SECC Hub, 1007 Botany Rd, Mascot
Hub Creative Showcase: Thursday 20th July, 5pm to 7pm at The SECC Hub, 1007 Botany Rd, Mascot
Prizes include vouchers, hampers and art packs. These will be awarded according to categories, including 0-11yrs, 12-24yrs, 25yrs+, group collaborations, and People’s Choice.
