Running out of ideas for how to spend the school holidays? Sophia Morris has rounded up a few fun and free things that can help keep your kids occupied and engaged.

1. Both Bayside and Randwick council libraries are offering online activities for kids and teens, with events listed on their Facebook pages. The State Library of NSW also has an online storytime for young kids.

2. The Art Gallery of NSW offers heaps of ideas for art-based activities, with videos from well-known artists teaching kids how to draw faces or make dolls from toilet videos.

3. Download the Sydney Culture Walks app and take your kids on a self-guided walking tour around the city.

4. Sydney Living Museums has put its family fair online this year. There are a ton of creative activities for kids to participate in and it’s all free.
