In our new weekly series, we introduce you to each of the staff that make SECC what it is. Today we chat with the lovely Tina, who can’t go past a Strawberry Watermelon Cake from Blackstar Pastry. The girl has good taste!
1. Hi Tina. What’s your role within SECC?
I’m the Aged Care Marketing Coordinator, helping to develop and promote our wonderful Home Care Package offering to the community.
2. What do you like most about your job?
I love being able to develop our new program from the beginning, combining and transferring existing aged care programs to meet current and upcoming external changes.
It’s like building a house… or putting the puzzle pieces together to become one amazing picture.
3. In one sentence, what’s the best thing about the service you offer?
I recently completed the first stage, which was to build the framework before moving to stage two.
I like offering my knowledge and experience to assist with the changes and develop something new, and find the balance between the old and new elements of the program.
4. What is one of your biggest hopes for our local community?
That everyone is open to the community services on offer to them.
I hope people continue to connect with each other and help those in need.
5. And on a more serious note, what’s your all-time favourite dessert and why?
The Strawberry Watermelon Cake from Blackstar Pastry in Sydney.
It’s fresh and has my favourite rose smell. It gives me a romantic and warm feeling 🙂
