The SECC team was sad to farewell our wonderful Deputy CEO Ashleigh Daines on Friday.

Ashleigh has spread her wings to take on a new role of CEO of Sutherland Shire Family Services, a not-for-profit organisation focused on strengthening the capacity of families in the Sutherland Shire and St. George areas.

Ashleigh has achieved a great deal for South Eastern Community Connect in the last two years, including securing and establishing four new sites for our SMOOSH before- and after-school programs and helping launch our new youth and adolescent programs in Eastlakes and Mascot.

South Eastern Community Connect CEO Kate Melhopt said Ashleigh was a great colleague to work with.

“She was inclusive and supportive of all staff across the whole spectrum of programs,” Kate said.

“She established great working relationships with all stakeholders and broadened our geographical coverage significantly.”

Ashleigh has been a highly respected manager who has helped South Eastern Community Connect go from strength to strength, and she will be greatly missed.

All the best, Ashleigh!
