Domestic and Family Violence Support

Domestic and Family Violence Support at SECC

At South Eastern Community Connect (SECC), we are committed to supporting individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence (DFV). Through client-centred, culturally informed, and trauma-aware approaches, we walk alongside community members facing difficult and unsafe circumstances—helping them take steps toward safety, stability, and healing.

What We Offer

Our Domestic and Family Violence Prevention and Intervention Program provides:

  • 1:1 Case Management: Personalised, strengths-based support tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
  • Safety Planning: Guidance to help improve physical and emotional safety, including risk assessment and safety strategies.
  • Support with Housing Pathways & Referrals: Help with housing applications, exploring alternative housing pathways for safety, and connecting with services like legal, health, and financial services
  • Practical Assistance: Help with paperwork, attending appointments, and accessing essentials for relocation and recovery.
  • Community Outreach & Events: Workshops, education sessions, and community events that raise awareness and foster prevention.
  • Bilingual Support: Our team includes trained bilingual caseworkers to support people from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.

Who We Support

SECC works with individuals of all ages and backgrounds across the Bayside, City of Sydney, Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra LGA’s. We are also experienced in working with:

  • People impacted by Family and Domestic Violence.
  • LGBTQIA+ Communities
  • Older people facing elder abuse
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. Non-residents and temporary visa holders included
  • People needing safe, confidential support outside traditional service settings.

Our Approach

We believe every person deserves to live free from violence and fear. Our team uses evidence-based tools including the Safe and Together Model and perpetrator mapping practices to enhance long-term outcomes. We work closely with other local services to ensure coordinated care and holistic support.
