Parenting Programs & Information Sessions
Parenting is a joy, but it can be challenging too!
Our team is here to help you with a range of programs as well as hands-on tips and guidance for the journey.
Check out what we have planned for 2019.
Every month we run free information sessions on a wide range of topics for parents of young children.
Upcoming classes include CPR & First Aid for Babies (13th Feb, 27th Mar, 8th May) and Early Communication in Children (18th June).
Triple P (Positive Parenting Program)
The Triple P program has been shown to reduce problem behaviour in children aged 2 to 12 years, as well as assisting with any emotional problems they might be facing.
The evidence also shows the training helps parents feel more confident, less stressed, less angry, and less depressed.
We run regular Triple P seminars free of charge, several times a year.
Our next course starts on 2nd May.

Dads and Bubs Bonding Course
We also periodically run a three-week group workshop for new dads who are learning to juggle the parenting role.
Fathers of babies up to 12 months of age now have the opportunity to chat about themselves and their babies and learn some practical information about child development in a relaxed environment.
Mums are also welcome in the third week with the baby massage therapist.
The Dads and Bubs Bonding Course is open to fathers, grandfathers and male carers, and their babies, and the next one will run from 19th February..
Play Power: Making the Most of Everyday Moments
This popular workshop provides parents of children between 0-3 with early childhood and brain development information and ideas for play activities, routine and structure using everyday household items.
Playpower for Dads will be held on 9th March, and Playpower for Parents will be held on 9th April.
Wise Choice Kids Program
In this specialised program, you’ll learn how to help your child develop empathy, resilience and self-control through the day-to-day things they experience. Running over four weeks, the program will cover ways to help your child care for others, create beauty in the world, think critically, solve problems, and much more.
The next course will run on Tuesday 12th February.
