Parenting Programs & Information Sessions

Parenting is a joy, and it can be challenging, too. We are here to give advice and some tried and trusted hands-on tips to help you be the fantastic parent that you are.

Information Sessions

Every month we have free information sessions on a wide range of subjects for parents of young children.

In the past we covered bilingualism, healthy teeth, sleep and settling, First Aid,home & water safety, immunisation and school readiness.

Subscribe to our newsletter “South Eastern Families Connect to hear about our upcoming sessions.

Parenting Programs

Triple P (Positive Parenting Program)

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program has been shown to help reduce problem behaviour in children aged 2 to 12 years and also reduce children’s emotional problems. The evidence also shows it helps parents feel more confident, less stressed, less angry and less depressed. And that’s a positive!

We run regular Triple P seminars free of charge, several times a year, with dates in our newsletter South Eastern Families Connect, on our news page, and on our “South Eastern Kids Connect” Facebook page.

Dads and Bubs Bonding

We have a three-week group workshop for new dads learning to juggle the parenting role.

Dads of babies up to 12 months of age now have the opportunity to chat about themselves and their babies, and learn some practical information about child development in a relaxed environment.

Dads and Bubs Bonding is open to fathers, grandfathers and male carers and their babies.

Dads and Bubs Bonding runs several times a year with dates published in our newsletter South Eastern Families Connect, on our news page, and on our “South Eastern Kids Connect” Facebook page.

Play Power: Making the most of everyday Moments for parent of children aged 0-3 years

This popular workshop provides parents with early childhood and brain development information and ideas for play activities using everyday household items.

Share your parenting experiences and be inspired to play more.
