Therapeutic and Recreational Activities

South Eastern Community Connect’s adolescent therapeutic and recreational activities are held throughout the week after school, during school terms and on weekends.

All activities are purpose-driven and designed to address underlying issues, build connections with the community and within families, and create a safe, comfortable environment which allows young people to have fun, make friends, and learn new skills.

Through a range of programs and activities, young people quickly develop their self-esteem and sense of independence, and are better placed to overcome hardships.

Current weekly activities include:


Youth Cooking Sessions

Come along and learn some skills for healthy cooking, eat delicious food, and have fun getting to know others in your community.

Youth Cooking is held on Monday during school term between 4.30pm and 6pm at The SECC Community Hub – 1007 Botany Rd, Mascot.

Tutoring Support

Do you need a helping hand with some of your school work?

The Tutoring Support program aims to match young people with a skilled tutor who can provide one-on-one support to help you achieve your education goals.

We run free Tutoring Sessions every Tuesday during school term from 4pm to 6pm at The SECC Community Hub – 1007 Botany Rd, Mascot.

Art and Craft Groups

Come along and learn a different art and craft activity each week.

Classes are held on Wednesdays between 3.30pm and 5:30pm at The SECC Community Hub – 1007 Botany Rd, Mascot. .

Movie Magic 

Learn how to make short films and learn all the tricks of the trade from our guest speakers.

Classes are held on Wednesdays between 4pm and 6pm at The SECC Community Hub – 1007 Botany Rd, Mascot.

Park Fitness

We run a free fitness program for all ages each term in Eastlakes Reserve.

Contact Alison on (02) 8338 8506 for more information and to reserve your spot in the class.

Weekly BBQ

Join us at Eastlakes Reserve every Friday between 3.30pm and 5.30pm for a BBQ.

Kick a soccer ball around, chat to our staff, or shoot some hoops.
