Eastlakes-based not-for-profit organisation South Eastern Community Connect (SECC) will host a Locals Picnic and Open Air Family Movie on Saturday 10th November to celebrate 40 years of serving the local community.

Proudly sponsored by Eastlakes Shopping Centre and Crown Group, the event will run from 2pm to 9pm in Eastlakes Reserve and include a variety of activities for all ages.

South Eastern Community Connect (SECC) CEO Kate Melhopt invites the community to bring their dog and a picnic lunch, and enjoy the program on offer – which will include urban gardening workshops, a dog show, a lawn library, live music, and much more. The event will conclude with an open-air family movie as the sun goes down.

“This is a not-to-be-missed event for the whole family which celebrates all that SECC has achieved over the 40 years we have been partnering with the local community,” she said.

“We would like to acknowledge the support of Crown Group and our dedicated, hard-working staff and team of volunteers in reaffirming our connection to the community. Our 40th anniversary event is an exciting way of recognising and celebrating our achievements.”
